Go Ride

In association with the GO-Active scheme The Banbury Star Cyclists' Club
is pleased to once again host a series of social fun cycle rides
throughout the summer months. These rides will take place on the second
Sunday of each month, meeting up at 10am outside the Odeon Cinema in the
centre of Banbury.
Rides are free to enter and are open to anyone over 16 years of age.
They will take place along quiet roads around the local area and should
take around two hours to complete, with a refreshment break en-route.
All cyclists wishing to join the rides should please make sure that
their bikes are in good working order beforehand. A hard shell cycling
helmet is advised, as is a puncture repair kit, pump, suitable clothing,
mobile phone and some food and drink. As mentioned above there will be a
refreshment stop en-route and therefore a small amount of money should
be brought along if you wish to purchase any drinks or snacks.
The rides are aimed at casual cyclists and will be conducted at a
friendly relaxed pace. A motto of "as fast as the slowest rider" is
adopted, therefore no one taking part should feel as though they are in
any way holding up or delaying the rest of the group. We hope that you
are able to join in with these rides and look forwards to meeting you.
If you would like any further information please feel free to join our
forum for some friendly chat or contact Hazel Field at the GO-Active
scheme via email: hazel.field@cherwell-dc.gov.uk or telephone 01295
221715.
Below is a link to the proposed route for the next ride, taking place on
11/9/11. There will be a refreshment break at Foodies Cafe in Deddington.
